Aarti Odharani

Clinical Psychologist (MSc.)

Aarti is a clinical psychologist licensed under Community Development Authority (CDA). She has a MSc in Clinical Psychology from United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and a BA in psychology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Born and brought up in Dubai and having lived in the US and Poland for a few years, Aarti identifies with the experiences of Third Culture Kids and is committed to supporting children to adapt within their current environment.

 

Aarti is a mother of two teenagers and has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults within the educational setting in the capacity of school counsellor. In addition to her therapeutic work, she is qualified to carry out educational and psychological assessments for children and adults. 

 

Aarti is trained in Triple P, an evidence-based positive parenting program, and has a special interest in working with parents to prevent and treat behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. She conducts workshops on positive parenting, development of interpersonal skills, and dealing with stress and anxiety. 

 

Aarti follows an eclectic approach combining the principles of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotional Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy, depending on the clients’ individual needs.
