Empowering independence through active rehabilitation
Occupational therapy provides your child with skills for living and learning. It helps infants, children, and young people who may need some extra support and advice if they are not able to do their daily functions due to illness, disability, family circumstances, or as a result of changes as the child gets older.
We help children and young people to participate in daily activities to improve health, independence, and well-being. This may include self-care, dressing, eating a meal, participating in activities and routines at nursery or school, playing with friends, and doing sports or hobbies.
Our occupational services start with an initial consultation and evaluation before developing a tailored care plan.
We can help with:
-
Children with physical and neurological challenges
-
Genetic conditions impacting motor development
-
Pre-school children with sensory processing differences which has an impact on their potential
and participation in daily activities -
Children with motor-coordination and functional difficulties
-
Neuromuscular conditions
-
