Foundation in Art Therapy (Accredited By CPCAB UK)
This course is for anyone who is considering art therapy as a career. The course will offer participants an opportunity to learn about the essence of art therapy and its implementation with different client groups and populations. The "Foundation in Art Psychotherapy" course is the only one of its kind that has been culturally adapted to suit communities within the region.
The tutors are experienced art psychotherapists who will be presenting clinical work from their therapy practices regionally and internationally. The course is theory-based but includes an experiential component that will enhance the participants' learning experiences.
Safeguarding
This course is essential for school personnel and safeguarding leads, offering a comprehensive understanding of child protection through historical insights. Participants will learn to recognize signs of abuse, including non-verbal cues, and gain insight into referral procedures. Participants will receive a practical "protocol template" aligned with UK standards, enhancing their ability to safeguard children. Key objectives include conducting risk assessments, identifying abuse signs, understanding non-verbal disclosures through art, and mastering the referral process.
Child Development
This course is beneficial to all working in the early years, across health and education settings. An increasing body of evidence tells us that the quality of caregiving received in the early years has a significant impact on future psychological, physical, personality development and emotional well-being.This course will explore early child development from psychological and attachment perspectives and examine the crucial role that art therapy can play in both identifying, reworking and rebuilding development.
ARTiculate
ARTiculate is catered specifically for staff in education settings as a response to the growing volume of enquiries from children and young people workforce members who wish to be better equipped to support children and young people through the sensitive use of art.We understand that children and young people often struggle to put their feelings into words, ARTiculate supports staff aiding students with trust and relationship building, emotional literacy and self-regulation.
Creative Therapeutic Practise for Children & Young People (ONLINE) - Accredited by CPCAB UK
This training is hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. It is a 12-month Diploma designed to provide learners with research-informed creative therapeutic skills required to work effectively and ethically with children and young people. Suitable for those with an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in the field of art and child-focused areas, such as Nursing, Education, Psychology, or Youth work. The course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the ethical, practical, systemic, cross-cultural, and creative theoretical components essential to delivering effective and creative therapeutic interventions. The program includes lectures, clinical placements, supervision, experiential art-based practice, and case studies, and is suitable for those from a wide geographical reach, in employment, or with other commitments. Lectures are delivered online, one full day per month.
Elklan Training (Accredited by OCN)
Elklan training provides practical, evidence-based strategies to support children's speech, language, and communication development in the classroom. The courses are tailored for professionals working with specific age groups:

0-3s: Focuses on building early communication skills, supporting pre-verbal children, and fostering language-rich environments for infants and toddlers.

3-5s: Emphasises developing vocabulary, social communication, and readiness for school through engaging and interactive approaches.

5-11s: Provides tools to support speech and language development in primary school-aged children, including strategies for vocabulary, grammar, and social communication challenges.
All courses empower staff to integrate these techniques into daily practice, ensuring children with varying needs are effectively supported. Elklan is accredited by the OCN. To become accredited, participants must complete and pass each session's learning log.
Investment: AED 3000 per person or AED 2725 per person for groups of 10.
